Week 10 – Rain and wind = inside crafty fun day!

The weatherman called for FEET of snow to fall this weekend.  Unfortunately, all we’ve gotten is rain…all weekend!  I really hope it is dumping at the higher elevations.  With the weather being quite blustery today, it was a great day to stay inside and do some baking and gingerbread house assembly!  This year we cheated and bought a kit for our house.  My husband is not a fan of kit homes, and we are in the process of building a non-kit log cabin to one day live in.  Plans for next year are already underway to make our own gingerbread “log cabin” complete with rolled gingerbread for the logs and icing for the chinking.  As you’ll see, Garrett and I made a beautiful little house, but it didn’t last for more than 20 minutes.  While cleaning up I glanced over to notice that it had completely fallen apart!  I think we’ll leave the home construction to the Hubby from now on…

Instead of re-assembling it, we went with a different style - it's now a hotel according to Garrett!
